What can players and coaches do to improve their skills in the off-season?

- MIYSC will host the annual "Friday Night Lights" program. We are excited to announce that our Winter Soccer Registration is new open! We are taking players from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade! This is a fun opportunity to come out on Friday nights starting in January and play pick up scrimmages at the MIHS Stadium. We will run it by grouping specific age groups but players can be with their friends and have fun scrimmaging others! IAS will run the session with 30 minutes of skill session followed by scrimmages. Winter Soccer starts January 6th and runs through the last Friday in February. The time frame is below:
Kindergarten - 2nd Grade 5:45 - 6:55
3rd Grade - 5th Grade 6:30 - 7:55
6th Grade and older 7:45 - 9pm
- International Academy of Soccer MIYSC
would like to encourage young players serious about growing as a soccer player to sign up for the Winter Academy put on by International Academy of Soccer, MIYSC's professional
program and training provider.
This coming January and February 2012, IAS will offer continued training in order to teach higher level skills to young soccer players. The Academy program is designed for the player who is
interested in playing more consistently throughout the year, and who aspires to reach a higher level of ability as a soccer player. The Academy will run twice a week for six weeks - building upon
previously learned topics during each session. This program is designed for players from 7-14 years old. For more information click here.
- Eastside FC Winter Academy. Designed for players U7-U13, the curriculum will develop all of the skills necessary to take your game to the next level! Eastside FC is the RCL/Premier soccer club which MIYSC is affiliated. Kick-arounds are open to all high school players regardless of age or skill level.
A sports eligibility packet must be turned in to Ann Meisner at MIHS before coming to
kick-arounds or try-outs.

- Watch some soccer! Professional, college, youth.

- Check out some State Cup action. There are 4 State Cups - Recreational, Founder's, Challenge and State Cup. Most of our Rec and Select teams play in the Recreational and Founder's Cup.
